ALISN Project Opportunity 'My Generation'

‘My Generation’
Part 1: A Survey of Young British Art.
Location: Dubai, UAE.
Date: March 2010
Part 2: Reflective Exhibition.
Location: London, UK.
Date: TBA

About the Project:
This is an open call for artists to participate in ‘My Generation’.

The project incorporates an art exhibition in Dubai (UAE) and London (UK), as well as a series of meetings and workshops with young, struggling or unsigned artists whilst in the UAE.

New art work is not required for the Pt. 1 of the project, the exhibition and workshops in Dubai. However you will be required to make new work that is reflective and reactionary to your experience in the UAE on return to the UK. The new work produced on return will then constitute Pt. 2 of the project, being the follow-up exhibition in London.

Submission Guidelines:
If you are interested in being involved with this project please email up to 5 images of work you intend to submit for the Pt. 1 show, including any proposals for new work if this is relevant.

We require an up to date CV, however this WILL NOT be the focus of the selection process, but is required for information.

We will also accept any other information or content (such as an artist’s statement, examples of previous collaborative experience, research report, video etc.) if you think it might be relevant to the opportunity.

The deadline for artist's submission to this opportunity is Saturaday 25th October.

NOTE: The artists selected for this opportunity will be chosen entirely on the merit of the work submitted.
To apply for ‘My Generation’, please submit the above to info@alisn.org with the email subject being DUBAI(your_name).
